Heck's Department Store was a regional retail chain that operated in the United States, primarily in the Appalachian region, including states like West Virginia, Virginia, and Ohio. Founded in the 1950s, Heck's was known for its variety of merchandise, including clothing, home goods, and general retail items. It was a popular shopping destination in smaller communities that lacked access to larger national chains.
Unfortunately, Heck's struggled financially in the late 1980s and early 1990s due to increased competition from national retailers like Walmart and Kmart.
