This device looks like some kind of old school fidget spinner, but it was actually an essential part of Generation X's music listening experience. Most of us had turntables growing up to play our album jammin' tunes. The center spindle of the turntable though was small in diameter to fit the small hole in the album. Sometimes we'd want to play our 45 singles on the turntable. The 45 records were smaller in size and had one song on each side. They also had a much larger hole in the center. This 45 RPM adapter was used to place over the spindle allowing us to listen to our 45s as well. Cutting edge technology right there.
